6 Month Aniversary
by admin on May.13, 2009, under My Life
Yesterday was Darren and my six month anniversary. He took me to dinner for our three month so this was my turn. Being that we go out to eat at great restaruants all the time I wanted to do something differnet. So I scoured the weather reports and even though it said there was chances of a thunderstorm I decided to risk it and began planning a picnic dinner for Central Park.
It worked out to my favor that I needed to leave work early to deliver Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub samples for an event in the East Village. I then headed to Bed Bath and Beyond to get picnic gear (which I had alrady scoped out on their website.) To my great dissapointment they had nothing in stock. So treked down to Kmart. Thirtyinutes later I was dissapointer to find they had nothing either. But dashing around the store I was able to find white plastic plates, simple metal utinsels, and a table clothe. I the took the subway up a stop to Whole Foods to get the food.
Bags in hand I took the subway to central park and began scoping out a place to set up. I finally flu d a grassy hill semi concealed by tress from the main running path. So I txted darren telling him to take a cab to west 85th. I frantically began arranging the food and plates. He arrived shortly and it was great to see the surprised and exstatic look on his face. He was beaming the entire dinner. As the sun was setting we packed up and headed through the great lawn admiring the lights of Midtown Manhatten.
Around the Reservoir

Darren and I took a walk around the Central Park reservoir. Being that I am now looking for my first apartment I have been thinking I wanted to find a place under 42nd street. But now that the weathers warm and we go to Central park multiple times a weekend I think I want to stay on the Upper East Side.

This morning i took a run around the resevoir. I seriously think NY is tge best city on earth. Where else can you job 5 blicks from your house and have a 1.6 mile track around a mini lake, with over hanging cherry trees and a city skyline? Darren and Then returned to central park that afternoon to read and nap.
We finished the day sitting on our computers learning Wordpress software and uploading it to our respective domains. Hence why my blog now has a completly new look. We are now one step closer to getting OutwardView up and running. I have been a little worried if we would be able to work collarboratively on this project without getting on each others nerves. I can be somewhat of a perfectionistic control freak. But so far it’s been great, and being able to work side by side on something we both are passionate about has added a new dimension to our relationship.
Its finally heating up!

The weather this weekend was amazing! And thus habitual weekend group meet ups in Sheeps Meadow have begun. The meadow was full of people camped out with blankets and picnic lunches. Frisbees, headstands, kids chasing balls, and shirtless old men were EVERYWHERE.
