–Downtown 5 Train–
Two weeks ago a blogged about running into the NYC Earth Day Street Fair and how I had bought a shirt from We Add Up. Well today the shirt was delivered and just in time for this weekends NYC Veggie Pride Parade. I was the 0011115 person to join the pledge, hence the number printed on the front. I love the qoute on the back. “No one can do everything, but we all can do something.”
Visit WeAddUp.com too see all the different earth-saving pledges you can make. And of course to get your own personlized T-shirt.
So I will admit, I get a little irked during the yearly earth week. Everyone tweete, posts and talks about the earth. Yet for the rest of the year they think that turning off a light or two, and putting bottles in the recycle bin is enough to make a difference. It’s trendy to be “green” but Few actaully know the lifestyle changes necessary to make it happen. K, I’ll get off my soapbox now. Nevertheless one thing I love about NYC is the cool events that happen during proclaimed awarness weeks.
Amelia and I met up for dinner and while walking to Grand Central ran into an earth day street fair. The booths street was lined with booths from a range of companies and organizations promoting thief cause or product. It rocked. I bouught I shirt from WeAddUp That reads “eat less meat” and has the number printed on it of what number person I am to have joined the cause!
